Amanda Tasse

Amanda was stung by a Portuguese Man-O-War at age 2 and an Immortal Jellyfish in October 2012, which is mysteriously around the same time she began developing the Miralab series of media projects. She’s worked in motion graphics, art department, and vfx for documentaries, film, and tv, and made over 7 short animated films which have screened internationally and received awards and grants from Sloan, the Academy Awards, HBO and others. She recently did a Fulbright year in Helsinki, is from Cleveland and Atlanta, and was an exchange student in Germany for a year. She likes yoga, meditation, hiking, snowboarding, stereo 3D. flOw and The Night Journey inspired her to start making games.

She occasionally surfaces to work on fun projects like Miralab, exploring the world of concept art, and finding new and unique visual solutions to creative stumps. Recent graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland
Sam is originally from North Carolina but to moved to Baltimore for school and has decided to stay. He’s currently working on a mobile game with a small group of friends and building his portfolio. Sam likes almost all types of games but he’s currently in love Magic the Gathering cards and League of Legends. When Sam is not working on or playing games, he enjoys reading a good book, exploring Baltimore city, and drawing things he sees out my window.

Shuhan Teoh is an animator and designer born on the small island of Singapore. After moving eight times in the first nine years of her life, she ended up in the quiet suburbs of New Jersey. Shuhan seeks comfort in music, which results in her lyrical and ethereal artistic style. Her work captures fleeting moments of pure emotion and in doing so, she hopes to transcend the limitations of language and heal people. Shuhan enjoys collecting books, traveling, and playing tennis.

Alicia (Aram) Jang

Alicia was born in Seattle, Washington, and moved around from states to states. This is the first time I’ve ever done concept art for something. Her hobby has been drawing and playing video games since she was young. Alicia’s favorite games are Pokemon, Final Fantasy X, and Kingdom Hearts II.

Miranda Rose Crowell

Miranda is currently an undergraduate in the LCAD game art program with an emphasis in Character Concept Art. She enjoys creating art and has been doing so since she was little. Her favorite genre is fantasy based games and one day she hopes to be able to direct a game and bring her own ideas and characters to life. Whenever Miranda is not working in the concept field she is often designing various fashion collections, working on writing her books, or enjoying a good video game or two.

Gilberto is currently a 3D environment/prop artist at LCAD who also has a great passion for concept art. One of his biggest aspirations is to become an art director for a creative studio. Calla is originally from the South Bay area and has recently graduated from CalArts. She has been a gallery artist her whole life (focusing on drawing, painting, collage, etc.) and has had the opportunity to show my work in galleries all over the world, including a group show at the Tate Modern in London. Calla has also been commissioned to design album artwork for several bands internationally. Her interests have shifted towards computers in the past few years and is now apprenticing a Hollywood storyboard artist as well as sharpening her skills with CG modeling and effects. And, in addition to new technology and computer graphics, she loves drawing, nature, fashion and cats.

Ruthie started in website design and development in Washington, D.C. and came to USC to study her lifelong love, animation, and to become an animator herself. She loves cats, coffee, architecture, art and film history, craftsy stuff and techy stuff. Although she was not allowed to have a gaming system growing up, her husband turned out to be a video game fanatic and schooled her on some gaming history. Her favorite video games are Final Fantasy III, Robotrek, Little Big Planet, and Harvest Moon. She also has a cat named Nintendo.

Nina Modaffari is an aspiring artist hoping to work for Blizzard Entertainment, and, when not drawing, enjoys obsessing and analyzing over videogame lore. She enjoys drawing fantasy creatures (to hell with mechs!) or creatures from Lovecraftian nightmares. In her free time she memorizes villain monologues and other movie quotes, which she recites to her little sister. Nina enjoys well thought out stories most of all, as they are the backbone for even greater games.
